Opening Song

Book: Does An Elephant Take a Bath? by Fred Ehrlich, M.D., illustrated by Emily Bolam

Fingerplay: “Tiny Tim (I Had a Little Turtle)”
I had a little turtle, (make a fist with the thumb sticking up and cover it with your other hand to make a “shell”)
His name was Tiny Tim,
I put him in the bathtub (dive hands into the bathtub)
To see if he could swim. (swimming motions)

He drank up all the water, (mime drinking water and say, “Glug, glug, glug”)
He ate up all the soap, (mime eating)
And now he’s home sick in bed (lay head on hands in sleeping pose)
With bubbles in his throat! (pat hand gently on throat)

Bubble, bubble, bubble, (roll arms around each other)
Bubble, bubble, pop! (clap on “pop!”)
Bubble, bubble, bubble,
Bubble, bubble, pop!
