About

The Verona Public Library

Verona is a city of 14,000 located one mile southwest of Madison, Wisconsin, and is one of the fastest growing communities in Dane County. In 2006, we moved to a new prairie style library, with more than three times as much space as the previous library building. It features a large children’s area with a castle, a quiet reading room with a fireplace, a local history room, a large dividable meeting room, smaller study rooms, a computer lab, views of Badger Prairie Park, and a drive-up book drop.

About our story times

Verona story times are offered in five to eight-week sessions, with breaks in between. When story time is in session, we offer two weekly baby story times, two weekly toddler story times, two preschool story times, one sensory friendly story time, and one story time for all ages. (See our calendar.)

I’m curious if you’ve ever considered or tried Saturday morning baby/toddler story times? I’m not a SAHM, but would like to be able to do this with my son. I do see the 6:30 pm family time on Tuesdays and am considering that, but he typically starts getting tired around that time. Thanks for considering.

Thanks for your interest! We have a limited staff on Saturdays, but are contemplating a way we could offer some periodically.
